Our Shepherd Lutheran School Gala, November 9, 6 pm

Again this year, Our Shepherd Lutheran School’s Gala will be held at LaMalfa’s on Heisley Road. Come and enjoy a fun evening! Please consider donating a basket or an item to be auctioned at the Gala. Gift cards/certificates, unique items, and vacation destinations are always a hit. We encourage you to consider creating a basket assembled by our congregation or a group within the congregation. Contact the school office (440-357-7776) with questions or to drop off donations.

Leaf Clean-Up At Faith, November 10, 9 am

The Trustees have set the date of Saturday, November 10th as our Leaf Clean-Up morning. We will start at 9:00 a.m. Please join us if you can – we have tools for you to use if you do not bring your own. Any and all help is really appreciated! There is a sign-up sheet on the bulletin board.

Women’s Guild Meeting, November 13, 7 pm

Ladies, you have a special invitation to join us on Tuesday, November 13th at 7:00 p.m. We will experience a bit of the LWML District Convention that was held in Dublin Ohio this past summer.  Our delegates to the Convention were Raye and Diane. Our Young Woman Representative was Hannah. If you would also bring a can of food for Operation Soup. Our hostesses for the evening will be Wilma and Jan.

Lunch Bunch, November 14, 1 pm

You are invited to have lunch with your Faith Family. We will meet at Favored Flavor Family Restaurant (1945 Mentor Ave., Painesville) on Wednesday, November 14th at 1:00 p.m. Please join us for good food and great Christian fellowship! Invite a friend! Please see the sign-up sheet on the bulletin board in the Narthex so we will know how many to expect.

Operation Soup Shopping, November 17, 1 pm

SOUP is on again … Operation SOUP. Your help is needed to donate food, money, and/or time. Scooping from the bounty that God has entrusted to you, please bring food items and place them in the Operation SOUP container located in the Narthex.

Monetary donations can be placed in the offering plate – marked “Operation Soup”. Frozen turkeys or gift certificates can also be donated. Your help is also needed to shop and assemble food baskets and also deliver the food baskets. No experience is needed, just a willing heart!

As part of a meaningful experience, your whole family may want to deliver one or more of the food baskets to folks in the area. Please sign-up on the sheet posted on the bulletin board in the Narthex if you can lend a hand.

Youth Group Pie Baking, November 17, 2 pm

The youth invite you to purchase a Thanksgiving Pie from them. They will be taking orders for pies on the following Sundays: October 28, November 4 and November 11 after both Worship Services. You can select from Apple Pie ($9), Cherry Pie ($9) and Pumpkin Pie ($7).

The youth will be making the pies Saturday, November 17 from 2:00 – 6:00 p.m.

Thanksgiving Worship Service, November 21, 7 pm

Faith’s Thanksgiving Dinner, November 22, 4 pm

We will meet at Baker’s Square for our Thanksgiving Dinner on Thursday, November 22th at 4:00 p.m. Please join us for great Christian fellowship and very good food. See the sign-up sheet on the bulletin board in the Narthex. Please invite a friend! 

Youth Group Event, December 1, 3 pm

We invite all youth to bring a friend and come make a church banner, play games, snack and hear the Christmas Story. The Christmas Party will be on Saturday, December 1st between 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. The place will be announced – please check the bulletins.
