Seminary Workshop – August 13 – 15
Faith will host the Seminary Workshop on August 13-15th. Dr. Kent Burreson and Dr. Beth Hoeltke will present “From Baptism to Burial: Death, Life and the New Creation.” This workshop will explore the rhythm of human life and the nature of death from a biblical perspective. LWML NE Zone Fall Retreat – Sept. 21
All ladies are invited to a one day, fun-filled, Christ-centered Retreat. “Women of His Story” is the theme of the retreat. It will be held at the YMCA Outdoor Family Center in Perry on Saturday, September 21st. Please pick up a packet from the Mission Bulletin Board in the Narthex. The cost is $25. Car pooling will be available. This event is totally fun and very inspirational. Don’t miss out!
Women’s Guild Rummage Sale – Oct. 5
We will have our Women’s Guild Rummage Sale on Saturday, October 5th from 9:00 – 2:00 p.m. We welcome any gently used donations starting the week prior to our sale. In addition, we will need lots of people to help organize all items donated. Please consider taking advantage of serving your Savior in this area.
Hamburgers, Hotdogs and Halleluiahs – Oct. 6
Our Evangelism/Church Growth Committee is looking for volunteers to help us serve the needy and/or prepare a side dish for us to take. This is an opportunity to reach out into the community to meet the physical and spiritual needs of theirs. Please consider joining us!
The need is great! Please join us between 4pm & 6pm and help feed some folk’s bodies, hearts and souls. We are looking for people willing to do any of the following:
– Cook a bulk dish to serve to our guests.
– Serve food.
– Talk and pray with our guests.
– Donations of store bought food, toiletries and necessities..

Men’s Retreat – October 18 – 19
On October 18th and 19th Faith Lutheran is sponsoring a Men’s Retreat which will be held at Stony Glen Camp in Madison. This overnight stay will give you the opportunity to enjoy the fellowship of other Christian men, partake of some good food AND be uplifted through the words and wisdom of Dr. Patrick Ferry. Dr. Ferry is the President of Concordia, Ann Arbor, Michigan and Concordia University in Mequon, Wisconsin.
Details on the topic he will be addressing will be forth coming as will the specific start time on Friday, and end time on Saturday.
Last year at this retreat, there were about 50 men in attendance and they walked away encouraged and engaged. Registration will be going out to the Circuit and District beginning in May.
